    3. Higher engineering mathematics - J. O. Bird 2017

      Book Optional Khan's book is more recent and better, but this is a good cheaper alternative. laplace and partial fractions sections.

    4. Reliability evaluation of engineering systems: concepts and techniques - Billinton, Roy, Allan, Ronald N. 1992

      Book Optional This was a core book for reliability and where the teacher first started learning the subject - but it is now hard to get and often expensive.

    5. Engineering safety assessment: an introduction - Thomson, J. R. 1987

      Book Optional very old but very good if you can get a copy.

      Book Optional An old expensive book written by one of the key authors of ISOTC95, DD240 and eventually PD7974-7. A mathematician who understood the subject. Sadly aging.

    7. Hazop and Hazan: identifying and assessing process industry hazards - Kletz, Trevor A., Institution of Chemical Engineers (Great Britain) 2001

      Book Further Kletz is one of the worlds most famous risk assessors using the HazOp method of qualitative risk assessment. Background reading.

    8. Hazard identification and risk assessment - Wells, G. L. c1996, r1997

      Book Further Wells is very famous in the oil refinery risk assessment world - his perception of the field is very valuable. However he doesnt believe in maths. Background reading only.
